Smokeing Smokeables

After being a recreational pot user for sometime it baffles me when I'm asked a question I consider relativly simple about it. The other day I was showing a freind a bag I had bought only to hear his girlfreind say "Can I see? I've never seen pot." Wow this litterally blew my mind but then I thought well hell I've seen pot in amounts as little as a 0.01 of a gram up to a whole pound. I'm getting to a point though whenver people are asking me about pot the most regurally asked question I get asked is how do I smoke or how do I like to. This brought me to thinking I should list my top 5 favorite ways to smoke.

#5: Gravity Bong
How it works: Can't beleive that I found such a detailed picture but yeah this is how it works you take a lil bit of pot as little as 0.02 and put in the top part of the bowl. When you light the bowl pulling the bottle up will cause air to pass in pulling smoke into the chamber. You then pull out the bowl, cover the opening with your mouth and push the body of the bottle back down into the water. The force of the water entering the bottle forces the smoke up strait into your lungs.

Why I like it: The most basic reason I like this tecnique for smokeing is that it's conservative. Very little pot is actually needed to get a good sized hit out of this device. This makes your stash last longer and the good times as well. Also this is a pretty F%(kin cool way to smoke. It uses some pretty cool physics and there's no stoner who doesn't like watching a chamber fill with deliciously stinky smoke.

Problems: The water gets very dirty and if it is not cleaned regurally you risk getting a mouthful of swampy pot water in your mouth when you inhale.

#2 One Hitters:

How It works: One end of this simplistic glass tube is has a small cup for holding the pot while the other forms a mouth peice. Simply hold, pull, light, inhale directly

Why I like it: This smokeing tool was made with the stoner on the go in mind. Small and compact the longest I'd ever seen was about two inches and there usually made of decently thick glass. Easy for transportation and for event smokeing (concert, parkinglot before movie, or game) It's also a good way to moderize how much you smoke. It's small bowl allows the most desperate stoner to feel their "headchange" without being to inebriated to complete there tasks.

Problems: Despite usually great craftmaship nothing changes the fact that it's a glass tube so it's prone to breaking. It's small size is sometimes it's downfall if your trying to smoke with a large group of people. Also easy to loose and unfortunetly most often stolen.

#3: Spliff

Disclaimer: Look despite what your thinking these aren't joints. Joints aren't one of my favorites. Spliffs are an entirely different thing.

How it Works: Ground up herb and a small portion of TOBACCO are mixed together to form a fine blend of the two. This blend is then rolled ito a cigarett form useing a rolling paper.

Why I Like it: Well along with smokeing herb to be one of my top hobbies smokeing tobacco is as well. Usually I keep the two sepret, first the green then the brown. A spliff to me though is more of a smokeing device best timed. I particurally enjoy a spliff in the morning after a good night of hard partying. The mix of my two favorite habbits brings me two seperet pleasures at once. Both doing their respective jobs this act kills the trouble of me haveing to figure out which one I want first.

Problems: Same as any could canoe, or letting someone, who shouldn't have, roll it.

#2: Bong

How it works: this infamouse device uses a chamber filled with water with a ususaly strait tube extending from it a stem connected to a bowl allows smoke to be pulled into the water chamber. The smoke emerges from the bubbles being popped. once the bowl is removed the sudden flow of air shot guns the smoke strait into your lungs.

Why I like it: This is definetly one of the most entertaining as well as satisfying ways to smoke. Not only is it considered to be a classic way to smoke the smelly green goodness but it is notorious for getting you super duper stoned. The variety of bongs is what sets them in a group all to their own. I've seen ones made of glass, wood, plastic, with rubber hoses, glass and metal bowls, ice catchers to cool down the smoke. All of these wonderful things make any bong an awesome smokeing device that will hold a special place in my heart for life.

Problems: Unfortunetly most awesome bongs cost lots of $$$. These awesome bongs are also usually glass and well are prone to breaking than any other smokeing utencil I have ever encountered. The sad look in the eye of a stoner standing over his/her broken bong will convey the pain of the loss.

#1The Pipe

How it works: This Pipe has a bowl connected to a stem. These vary in size and shape but the general concept is you light the bowl, it fills with smoke, release carb, take in perfect sized hit. There are many different varieties: bubblers, sherlocks, hammers, metal , disguised.

Why I like it: These pipes are perfect for either solo or group smokes. With enough heads you can get 4 people in on one session. The glass ones of these tend to change color so watching the transformation is always awesome. Personally these are tools that i'm most experienced with and have most knowlege about. Now get this if you run out of green and your area suddenly finds itself in a dry spot these peices collect resin very well and make it easy to smoke. This gives you a super emergency stash if necessary.

Problems: as always glass breaks, cops tend to find them pretty easily, only good for sokeing in public places if know one else is around.
